DEFINITION
The material of the cold shrink cable termination and the joint is an elastomer (usually silicone rubber or ethylene propylene rubber). After special processing, it is vulcanized and injection molded in a mold, the material is stretched and expanded in the radial direction, and finally supported by plastic spirals to become part of the cable accessories.
PROCESS PRINCIPLE
Cold shrink termination cables and joints have a shrinkage property that allows them to fit perfectly into the cable. Then, the ports are sealed with semiconductor self-adhesive tape, which can make the cold-shrinkable cable termination have better insulation performance and achieve the effect of being waterproof and moisture-proof.
